William C. Struck

William C. Struck, of 254 Stambaugh Ave.. Sharon, passed away unexpectedly at 7:45 a.m. , Thursday, May 22, 2014, at his home . He was 74.
Mr. Struck was born in Sharon, PA on March 24, 1940, the son of the late George and Nellie (Vernille) Struck .He was a 1958 graduate of Sharon High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1960-1964 .
Bill had worked as a machine operator at Wheatland Tube in Wheatland., for 16 years. He had previously worked at the former National Castings for 30 years as an inspector. Bill was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirates fan who liked to hunt. He enjoyed the times he spent with his family. He was of the Lutheran faith.
He was the husband of Kathleen (Nettinger) Struck. whom he married on April 29, 1978. She survives him at home. Also surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Struck, of Austin, TX., and three grandchildren, Derek, Justin, and Carley Tarapchak, along with his brothers, Robert G. Struck of Middletown, PA.,and Donald R. Struck of Sharon, PA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stefan Tarapchak.

Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday, May 27th, 2014, from 4:00-7:00 p.m.. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home., 264 East State Street, Sharon, PA 16146.
Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28th, with Chaplain Cary Parsons officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
