William James "Jim" Wereb, of Hermitage, passed away on Sunday , March 15, 2015 at 3:31 p.m. in his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 70..
Jim was born in Youngstown ,OH, on February 7, 1945, the son of the late John A. and Clara M. (Houy) Wereb . He was a 1963 graduate of West Middlesex High School. He had worked as a self-employed carpenter.
Jim was a member of the Western Reserve Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
He was the husband of Kathy (Kotal) Wereb. whom he married on October 19, 1996. She survives at home. He is also survived by his 5 children, Missy Root, Monica Morgan, Heidi DeBoer and her husband, Mike, Billy Wereb, Bob Lowers and his wife, Kim, eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, along with his sisters, Emily Darke, Esther Amico, and brothers, John Wereb, and Dewey Wereb. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Holden Lowers, a daughter-in-law, Jill Lowers, and a sister, Janie Koehler. In leu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover medical expenses.
At his request there will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place.
