Wayne G. Turner

Wayne G. Turner, age 84, of Sharon, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at his residence.

Born May 18, 1940 in Volant, PA, he was the son of the late Charlie and Leona (Hedglin) Turner. He married the former Lois Bochert in 1972 and she preceded him in death.

Wayne worked as a Tow Motor Driver for the former Howell Industries in Masury, OH, for 42 years, before retiring in 2003.

In his spare time, he liked to hunt, fish and do gardening. Wayne was a member of the Farrell Moose Lodge.

He is survived by a daughter, Regina L. Turner, of Farmdale, OH, a step daughter, Dolly Webb, of W. Middlesex, PA, five step sons, Dennis Swogger, of Gerard, OH, Howard Swogger, of Hermitage, PA, Kevin Swogger, of Wheatland, PA, Joe Swogger, of Mecca, OH, and James Swogger of Wheatland, PA, a sister Phyllis Brenneman, of Mercer, PA, three grandchildren, Dalton Turner, Clinton Vincent and Dottie Vincent, ten step grandchildren, one great -grandchild, several step great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchildren.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a step-daughter, Vickie Dicristofaro and ten brothers and sisters.

A gathering time will be held on Saturday, April 5,2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA. 16146. A time of remembrance will follow at 3:00 PM from the funeral home.
