Born December 3, 1944, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and
Mildred (Kelley) Vannoy. She married Jacob E. Lisbon on May 16, 1970, and together they shared
56 years of devoted marriage.
A 1962 graduate of Hickory High School, Virginia worked as a cook at Greenville Hospital before
retiring to care for her first grandson—a role she deeply cherished.
Gin was a dedicated member of the American Legion Unit 432 in Wheatland, Pennsylvania, where
she served as treasurer for 25 years, held the role of Western Vice President, and contributed to
many committees. She made many friends and cherished her time spent serving the auxiliary and
supporting our veterans.
Above all, Virginia was devoted to her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Kelley (Stephen) Harnett; Jeffrey

Ohio; and her beloved great-grandchild, Kinsley.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William Vannoy.
She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family. In
her final days, she shared a simple message: "Don't be sad for me."
A celebration of life will be held on May 23 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Wheatland American
Legion Unit 432 in Wheatland, Pennsylvania.
