Virginia C. Garrett

Virginia C. Garrett, formerly of Bechtol Ave., Sharon, PA, passed away at 7:42 p.m. in Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage. She was 95.
Mrs. Garrett was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 11, 1918, the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary (White) Green. She had worked for over 35 years at the former Crystal Cleaners and later People's Cleaners, both in Sharon. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sharon.
Virginia enjoyed walking in Buhl Farm Park, knitting, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who had a great faith in God and always put other's needs ahead of her own.
Her husband, Carl Garrett, whom she married on July 5, 1940, preceded her in death on June 11, 1980.
Virginia is survived by a daughter, Elaine M. Schubert and her husband, Dick, of West Middlesex, PA.
a son and daughter-in-law, Vince and Janet Garrett of Hermitage,PA, three granddaughters, Brittany Schubert, Heidi Miklos, and Amanda Torr and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Landen Torr, two siter in laws, Bernice Green and Phyllis Baun, both of Hermitage, PA, along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Carol Newlan, a grandson, Todd Vincent Garrett, and a brother, Bud Green.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 17th, with Rev. Dr. Terry Mann, of Covenant Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage, PA.
