Violet Reeves, of Hermitage, PA, formerly of Lackwannock twp, Mercer, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at 3:05 a.m., in John XXIII Home, Hermitage, after a brief illness. She was 97.
Violet was born in Sharpsville, PA on January 1, 1919, the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Hromyak) Fisher.
She was a member of St. John's Orthodox Church Hermitage, PA. Violet had worked as a waitress at the former Holiday Inn, Brecksville, OH. She had also worked at the former Sun Drug in Hermitage, Reznor Drug Store in Sharon, and the Humes Hotel in Mercer, PA. Violet enjoyed swimming, golfing, cooking, fishing, ballroom dancing, and spending time with her family.
Violet was the widow of Edward Reeves, who died on August 27, 1961. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Wansack and her husband, Joseph, of Mercer, PA, and her son, Robert L. Felesky, and his wife, Marilyn, of Shenango twp., PA. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren, and 1 great -great grandson. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Nicholas, Sophie Perfilio, and Katherine Gligor, and her brothers, George, Samuel, Rudolph, and Jack Fisher.

Funeral service at St. John's Orthodox Church, Hermitage, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 18th, with Rev. Father David M. Mastroberte, of St. John's Orthodox Church, officiating. Please go directly to the church for the service. Interment at St. John's Orthodox Cemetery, in Hermitage.
