Mr. Thomas Ivor Horsman Jr., age 94, of 500 Clarksville Rd. Hermitage, PA, formerly of Whispering Oaks in Hermitage and York Way, Sharon, PA passed away peacefully at 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Nugent Covalscent Home in Hermitage after an extended illness. .
Tom was born in Sharon, PA on December 18, 1917, the son of the late Thomas Ivor Horsman Sr. and Margaret Ann (Morgan) Horsman. He was a 1935 graduate of Sharon High School and went on to serve his country as a Staff Sergeant in the US. Army during WWII.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Hermitage, PA. Tom had worked as a supply clerk at former Westinghouse Plant Sharon,PA., retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Hickory VFW Post 6166 in Hermitage and of F.& A. M. Kedron Lodge #389 of West Middlesex, PA. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and in his younger years, playing softball.
Tom is survied by his niece, Margaret Ann Malsom, of Hermitage and his nephew, Robert Malsom and his wife, Bonnie , of Sharon, PA along with his great nephew, Rob Malsom, of Hermitage and a great niece, Jennifer Malsom, of Sharon. Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by his sister, Thelma Malsom.

At his request, there will be no visitation. Private graveside services will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
