Suzanne Boor

Suzanne Boor, of 2250 Shenango Valley Frwy. Hermitage, PA , formerly of Masury, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at 3:10 p.m. , in John XXIII Home, in Hermitage, after a brief illness. She was 99.
She was born in Sharon, PA on August 29, 1914, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Bacik) Petro. She was a 1932 graduate of Sharon High School.
She was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon, PA. Suzanne enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, especially by her loving children.
Suzanne was the widow of Stephen Boor, whom she married on September 1, 1935. He died on Jan. 10, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Jones and her husband, David, of Sharpsville, PA., 3 sons, David A. Boor of Santa Fe, NM., Dr. Keith A. Boor and his wife, Teresa, of Springfield, OH., Retired Lt. Col. Wayne A. Boor , and his wife, Margaret, of Fayetteville, NC. along with her grandchildren, Barbara and Michelle Jones, Jennifer Holestin, Micah Boor and David Keith Boor, and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mildred Balash of Ocala, FL, and a brother, Michael Petro of Youngstown, OH. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Arthur, and 3 brothers, John, Paul, and Andrew Petro.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19th, 2013, with Rev. Jeff Harter, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Interment at Brookfield twp. Cemetery Brookfield twp., Ohio.
