Stephen Feltovich Jr.

Stephen Feltovich Jr., Sharpsville, Pa, passed away on Monday March 9, 2015 at 12:38 a.m. in Clepper Manor, Sharon after an extended illness. He was 91.
Stephen was born in Farrell, PA on July 5, 1923, the son of the late Stephen Sr. and Mary (Dupay) Feltovich. He was a 1941 graduate of Sharpsville High School and went on to attended Westminster College.
He was a member of St. John's Orthodox Church Hermitage, PA.
He was a decorated veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force as a navgator on a B-17 Flying Fortress winning the air medal for "meritous achievement, coolness, courage and skill " during the Eighth Airforce bombing attacks in Germany and actually went M.IA. for a period during WWII. He was with the 34th bombing group, Third Air division, with the historic England-Africa shuttle bombing of the Messerschmitt plants at Regensburg, Germany
Stephen had worked as a commercial insurance consultant at Progressive Insurance , Cleveland, OH., for several years. In his younger years, he had been a podiatrist.
He was a member of Avalon Country Club and the National V.F.W.. He was an avid tennis player and his his younger years enjoyed exercising and sports.
Stephen was the widower of Marie (Collins) Feltovich. She died March 4, 2004. He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Boldish of with whom he made his home in Sharpsville, PA and Johanna Wagner and her husband, James, of Athens, GA, along with ten neices and nephews, Nancy Tusinac and her husband, Ronald, Michael Boldish and Patricia,Stephen Boldish and Christina, John Feltovich and Mary Ellen, Richard Feltovich, John Black, Robert Black, Jill Dummer and Sam, Ian Feltovich, and Miriam Griffin and Dan several great- neices and great- nephews, 2 great-great neices and a great-great nephew. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and Michael Feltovich and 2 sisters, Helen Feltovich and Irene Black.
Donations in his memory may be made to St. John's Orthodox Church 3180 Morefield Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Friends are invited to call Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5:00 till 8:p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146. Panachida service at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Funeral service at St. John's Orthodox Cemetery Chapel, Hermitage,PA. at 2:00p.m. on Friday, March 13th, with Rev. Father David M. Mastroberte officiating. Military honors will be presented by the WestMiddlesex VFW Post 6233, Wheatland American Legion Post 432, Farrell VFW 5286 Honor Guard. Interment at St. John's Orthodox Cemetery.
