Shirley Jean Sternthal

Shirley Jean Sternthal, S. Pymatuning twp., Sharpsville, PA, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 1:55 p.m., in Avalon Springs Nursing Home, Mercer, PA , after an extended illness. She was 75.
Shirley was born in Farrell, PA on March 31, 1940, the daughter of the late Michael and Stella (Janosky) Wasko. She was a graduate of Farrell High School.
Being a housewife, Shirley enjoyed cooking and baking. She was of the Catholic faith.
She was the widow of Robert T. Sternthal Sr., whom she married on June 11, 1960. He died Aug. 9, 1988.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert T. Sternthal Jr., of Sharon, PA. and Keith Sternthal of S. Pymatuning twp., Sharpsville, PA along with her nine grandchildren, her sister, Stella Kolbrich and her husband, Norman, of Hermitage, PA and her brother, Michael Wasko, and his wife Grace, of Farrell, PA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25th, with Rev. John Trojak officiating. Interment at Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
