Shirley Louise Miller

Mrs. Shirley Louise Miller, 94, formally of Sharon, Pennsylvania and presently of Walkersville/Frederick, Maryland, died on February 7, 2019 at Northampton Manor Nursing Home.
She was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1924.  She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Carrie Miller.
At age 17, she met and married Russell Lee Miller.  They were married for 46 years before he passed away in 1988.  She was a long time member of the East Side Baptist Church.   She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 299, where she served as President and several other offices.  She received an award for being a member for 75 years.   She was a volunteer at the Shenango Valley Osteopathic Hospital (UPMC Horizon-Shenango Valley Hospital) for many years and Co-Chaired the Holiday Remembrance Tree.
She is survived by her three sons, David Lee Miller and wife, Lois of Walkersville/Frederick, Maryland; James Richard Miller and wife, Denise of Keymar, Maryland and Keith Edward Miller and wife, Jane of Stow, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brian Miller and wife Tina, Jessica Paige Knepp and husband, Brian, Jeffrey Allen Miller and Megan Elizabeth Miller and Marty Powell.  She is also survived by her four great grandchildren, Bryce Miller, Jordyn Miller, Stella Knepp and Miller Knepp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lee Miller, their son, Craig Allen Miller and a brother Edward "Bing" Miller.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am til Noon on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 East State Street, Sharon, PA  16146. A funeral services will be performed immediately following visitation  at 12:00 pm with the Rev. Craig Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in America's Cemetery.
