Shirley K Burnett

Shirley M. Kettler Burnett, age 84, of Masury, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, in Andover Village in Andover, Ohio, with her family at her side.

Born June 21, 1934 in Sharon, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Mable (Childs) Kettler.

Shirley attended Brookfield schools and worked as a Bartender at the Brookfield Inn for several years. She enjoyed traveling around to different states and often acted as a camp host. In her spare time she enjoyed doing word search puzzles and needlepoint.

She is survived by a daughter Patty Blair and her husband Tom of Hubbard, Ohio, and four sons, John Chisum and his wife Sheryl of Denver, Colorado, Glenn Burnett , Kevin Burnett, both of Masury, OH, and George Burnett and his wife Kelly of North Carolina, a sister Beverlee Furillo of Brookfield, OH, and a brother John Kettler of Masury, Ohio. Survived also by nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Robert Burnett and her long/time companion Richard Ryser.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm  at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, Pa. 16146. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm from the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Dyson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
