Shirley J Brest

Shirley J. Brest, 0f 73 Mercer Ave., Wheatland, PA formerly of Nimmick St., Sharon, PA, passed away peacefully on Wed., Jan. 7, 2015 in Sharon Regional Health System. She was 79.
Shirley was born in Brookfield, OH on October 29, 1935 to the late Andrew and Augusta (Doyle) DeVite. She was a 1953 graduate of Brookfield High School. She married Richard J. Brest on Feb. 8, 1958. He died in 2009. She was a member of East Side Church in Sharon, PA.
Shirley loved to play bingo and spend time from her family. She is survived by her 5 daughters, Jean Edsall and her husband, David, of Sharon, PA, Patti Reed and her husband, Barron, of Treasure Island, FL, Mary Myers DeVlugt, and her husband, Karel, of Bedford, TX, Karen Lambert, and her fiance', Jeff Vrooman, Brookfield, OH, and Sharon Drnek, and her husband, Brian, of Williamsfield, OH and a son, Richard J. Brest II, and his Fiance', Stephanie Farber, of Morgantown, WV, along with 31 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Agnes Stout, of Andover, OH and Mary Ellen Marstellar, of Cleveland, OH, and a brother, Ralph DeVite and his wife, Edith, of Brookfield, OH and her loving dog, Santa Fe. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Cookie" DeVite. Donations in her memory may be made to Club Pet, 20 Schaller Rd., Transfer, PA 16154.
