Shirley J Black

Shirley  J. Barnett Black, of Masury,OH, formerly of Sharon, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 9th, 2018 at Nugent's Convalescent Home in Hermitage. Born September 5th, 1938, in Sharon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Kloss Barnett. She married Carl M. Black Jr. on August 9th, 1963 and he preceded her in death on June 18th, 2002.
Shirley graduated from Sharon High School and worked for the Salvation Army in Norfolk,VA, and Locally at Reznor's and Isaly Dairy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sharon and volunteered in its food bank. Shirley loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters Eunice Marie Foraker and her fiancee' Richard Wimer of Hubbard OH, Carol Marie Serrecchio and her husband Mike of Austintown,OH, and Viola Marie Mancini and her husband Mario of Masury, OH, two step children William Black and his wife Debbie of Force, PA, and Judy Wells and her husband Bernie of Reynoldsville, PA, a sister Sarah Monnin of Sharpsville, PA, a sister-in-law Janet Barnett of Boardman,OH, fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers Carl and Robert Barnett, a sister Betty Bale, a step brother Leroy Kloss and two son-in-laws, Ray Foster Jr. and Joseph Foraker.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Sharon with the Rev. John Trojak officiating. Everyone is to meet at the church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic, Sharon Regional Hospital, Nugent's Convalescent Home,The Lakes at Jefferson and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care that they gave to Shirley.
