Sara (Sally) H Douthitt

Sara H, "Sally" Douthitt, age 89, of hermitage Pa., passed away on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 at her residence.
Born November 18th, 1928, in Brookville Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lucille Briggs Clack. She married James F. Dunn , January  2nd, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 3rd, 1968. She married her second husband A.J. "AL" Douthitt on April 4, 1983 and he preceded her in death on October 10, 2007.
Sally was graduate of Hickory High School, class of 1946, a homemaker but at one time she was an swimming instructor for several high schools, and an Adaptive Aquatics Instructor for forty years. Sally was a life long member of First Presbyterian Church of Sharon. She also started the YMCA Single Friends Group before her second marriage and also enjoyed theatre, dancing and poetry.
She is survived by five daughters , Terri (Mark) Eggleston of Livingston, Tn., Patricia Dunn of Hermitage, Pa., Debra Paulson and Sara (David) Paske of Sharpsville, Pa., and Melinda "Mindy" Dunn of Hermitage, Pa., two sons James (Laurel) Dunn of New Castle, Pa., and Thomas Dunn of Transfer, Pa., one step-daughter Joan (Geza) Korchmaros of Collegeville Pa. as well as 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother Frank B. Clack and two step daughters Nancy Bonacker and June Kaltenbach.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6th, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, Pa.. A funeral service will take place on Monday at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Sharon with the Rev. Lisa Hickman, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in America's Cemetery.
