Russell Glenn Crawford

Russell Glenn Crawford, age 69, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Sharon, PA, passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at his residence.

Born June 24, 1957, in Sewickley, PA, he is the son of Russell L. and Waconzer (Jones) Crawford, of Sharon, PA.

Russell was a 1976 graduate of Sharon High School and also attended Clarion University. He went on to John Carroll University where he studied criminal law and received his master’s degree in criminal law from the University of Pittsburgh.

He worked as an investigator for the New Jersey Transit System for 20 years and then worked security for the University of Pittsburgh for 10 years and was currently working as a substitute teacher for the Pittsburgh Public Schools.

Russell liked to fish and play table tennis. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Kappa fraternity and attended St. John’s Episcopal Church, in Sharon, PA.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister Rhonda F. Crawford Koborie and her husband John of Sharon, PA.

He was preceded in death by both his maternal and fraternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Rev. Patricia Tatum, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
