Mr. Ronald Frederick Leckfor, age 74, of Hubbard, OH, formerly of New Castle, PA, died peacefully, Monday, January 9, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the home of a family member in Hubbard , after a brief illness
Mr. Leckfor was born in New Castle, PA on March 12, 1937, the son of the late Michael W. and Stella (Groncki) Leckfor. He attended New Castle Schools growing up. Ronald had served in the U.S. Army as a SP-4 -E-4 (T) from 1957-1958. He also was a member of the National Guard.
He had worked as a technician at Packard Electric,(now Delphi) Warren, OH., for 28 years retiring in 1997. He had also worked at the former Republic Steel in Youngstown, Ohio, GATX in Masury, Ohio and the former Shenango China in New Castle, PA.
Ron enjoyed photography, attending car shows, sailing, camping, and spending time with his family. He was always willing to help family and friends with projects and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hubbard, OH.
He is survived by his two sons, Ronald J. Leckfor and his wife, Tina and Roger J. Leckfor and his wife, Sandra, and his former wife, Jo Ann Leckfor, all of Hubbard, OH along with his two grandchildren, Christina and Michael Leckfor. Also survivng are three sisters, Gertrude Miller of Port Orange, FL., Eleanor Siglow of Pittsburgh, PA., Bernice Gallagher of Mineral Ridge,OH. and four brothers, John Leckfor of Manchester, CT., Bernard Leckfor of Tampa, FL, Walter Leckfor of New Castle, PA, Edward Leckfor of Tolland, CT. Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by his sister, Marianne Blashak.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hubbard, Ohio. at 11:00a.m. on Friday, January 13th, 2012 with Rev. Jim Johnson & Deacon Bob Friedman officiating.
Cremation will follow the funeral mass with burial of cremains at St. Phillip and James Cemetery, Slippery Rock twp., PA.
