Ronald  L. Greene Ronald  L. Greene, age 93, of Hermitage Pa., passed away on Tuesday, August14th, 2018 at St. John XXIII Home. Born April 5, 1925 in Adams Center, New York, he was the son of the late Paul and Mildred Saunders Greene. He married the former Dorothy M. DiNardo on March 25th, 1961 and she survives at home.
Ronald graduated from Pottsdam High School and Clarkson College. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II  as an Electrical Technician's Mate 2nd Class. Upon his discharge from the service he went to work for Westinghouse in their transformer  division in Sharon as an Electrical Design Engineer.
Ronald was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan , he also liked eating pie, reading, Genealogy and gardening which included growing his own fruit trees. Ronald was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville where he had taught Sunday School.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mildred Greene of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Elizabeth Reiser of Sharon, Pa., three sons, Robert Greene of Sharpsville,Pa., Keith Greene of Greenville Pa., and Theodore Green of Meadville, Pa., a sister Janice Greene of Cleveland, Oh., four grandchildren Lindsey Reiser, Vanessa Reiser, Rachel Vernell and Robert Greene and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
The family will have a gathering time on Monday, August 20th, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State street, Sharon Pa., 16146. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm from the funeral home with the Rev. Stacie Pitts, Sharon Regional Hospice Chaplain, Officiating.
