Ronald J. Gardlock, of 2510 S. Neshannock Rd. Hermitage, PA passed away in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System, on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at 8:01 p.m. after an extended illness. He was 75.
Ronald was born in Brookville, PA on July 1, 1938, the son of the late George C. Daugherty and Anna Geraldine (Clinger) Gardlock Daugherty. He was a 1956 graduate of Farrell High School. He was an honorably discharged veteran serving in the U.S. Army in 1962 and 1963 earning the Good Conduct Medal. He was a social member of the Hickory VFW Post 6166 in Hermitage.
Ronald was a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St.Ann's Catholic Church in Farrell, PA. He had worked as a welder at at the former Container Products in Masury, Ohio., for 30 years. He had also worked at the former Rotell's Tire in Farrell and at the former Westinghouse in Sharon.
Ronald was a member of the NRA and of the Mercer County Sherriff's Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, working on cars, going to flea markets, and watching John Wayne movies and classic westerns.
He was the husband of Catherine E. (Lazor) Gardlock. whom he married on Aug. 19, 1967. She survives at home. Also surviving is his son, Brian J. Gardlock of Hermitage, PA and his sister, Mary Margaret "Peggy" Dolata and her husband, Walter, of Hermitage, PA. and his brother, Gerald Daugherty and his wife Marianne, of Brookfield, OH, a special cousin, Jeanette "Nettie" Gardlock, of Brookville, PA and several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his faithful dog, Sadie, and his cat, Socks. Besides his parents, he was preceeded in deah by two brothers, William A. and Richard T. Gardlock.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at at Our Lady of Fatima-St.Ann's Catholic Church, Farrell, PA. at 10:30a.m. on Friday, July 12th, with Rev. Donald Berdis officiating.
Interment at Mount Washington Cemetery,Jefferson twp., PA.
