Robert N. Timmerman

Robert N. Timmerman, age 77, of Sharon, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in UPMC Horizon Shenango Valley Hospital, Farrell, Pa.

Born August 11, 1946, in Sharon, PA, he was the son of the late Richard Sr. and Bridget (Cummins) Timmerman.

Robert was a 1964 graduate of Sharpsville High School and went on to earn his Batchelor's Degree at Youngstown State University in 1969. He also served for six years as a reservist in the US Army.

Robert joined FNB in 1980 as assistant vice-president of the Farrell office. He served as assistant vice-president and manager of both the Sharon and Penn-Ohio offices. Prior to that he was assistant vice-president of Equitable Bank in Ocean City, MD. He also worked for Cook Publications as a distribution manager for the Citizen Newspaper in Key West Florida.

He was a member of the American Legion and was awarded the Citizen of the Year by the American Legion in 1997. He was also past president of the Sharpsville School Board for two terms and FOP Citizen of the Year in Sharon in 1996. Robert also enjoyed playing golf and traveling.

He is survived by a brother James P. (Georganne) Timmerman, of Naples, FL, a niece Deborah (Donald) Cooper, of London, OH, and three nephews, Jeffrey (Mel) Timmerman, of Marietta, GA, James (Kristen) Timmerman, Of Sparks, MD, and Scott Timmerman, of Elkridge, MD.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Richard Timmerman Jr. and his wife Carol and a nephew Rick Timmerman.

There will be no visitation or services at this time, a celebration of Robert's life will be held at a later date.
