Robert W. Rosche Sr.

Robert W. Rosche Sr., age 91, of 500 Clarksville Rd., Hermitage, formerly of Victory Drive, Sharpsville, passed away peacefully at 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Nugent Convalescent Home in Hermitage, after an extended illness.

Robert was born in Sharon, PA on November 28, 1920, the son of the late August and Edna (Bowman) Rosche. He was a graduate of Sharon High School. He served with the U.S. Army Air Force with the 309th Troop Carrier Squadron during WW II from 1943-1946.
He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sharon, PA., where he had been active in the Senior Fellowship Group. He was employed in the production control dept. at the former Westinghouse Plant in Sharon., for 43 years retiring in 1983. Robert enjoyed woodworking, gardening, traveling, square dancing, and bowling.
He was the widower of Evelyn Ruth (Heinz) Rosche. whom he married in Covenant Presbyterian Church on July 15, 1941. She died on Dec. 17, 2011. He is survived by his three sons, Robert W. Rosche Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Aiken, SC., Mark A. Rosche and his wife, Sherrie, of Wake Forest, NC, and Craig M. Rosche and his wife, Mary, of Millersburg, PA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, George Rosche and his wife, Janine, and Geoff, Heather, and Eric Rosche, along with four great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceeded in death by his sister, Allene Robbins, and his two brothers, Bill and Chuck Rosche.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, July 21st, 2012, with Rev Christopher Mathewson of Covenant Presbyterian Church and Rev. Dr. Joseph Hopkins, retired minister officiating. Interment at Riverside Cemetery,Sharpsville , PA.
