Robert J Porterfield

Robert J. (Bob) Porterfield, age 84, formerly of Sharon, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at his home in Ellwood City, PA. Born August 4, 1934 in Sharon, PA, he was the son of the late Russell Porterfield and Edith Wansor Porterfield Hawk. He married the former Roberta Plance on January 3, 1970 and she survives at home.

Robert attended Sharon High School and then served in the U S Airforce during the Korean War as an Airman 2 ^nd Class. He worked for Sharpsville Quality Products for 13 years until his retirement in 1977.

Bob in his spare time liked, fishing, hunting and camping as well as singing and playing the Guitar. He was a member of the Beth Emmanuel Fellowship Ministries where he was a greeter and helped with church maintenance.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Karli Ann (Robert) Foreman of Smithville Missouri and Sherry Lynn Lesheski and her fiance' Paul Honneffer of Ellwood City, PA, three sons Robert W. (Carolyn) Lesheski of Hermitage, PA, Daniel P. (Amy) Lesheski of Sharon, PA, and William J. (Sheila) Porterfield of W. Middlesex, PA, a brother Russell J. (Angel) Porterfield of Mechanicsburg, PA, three sisters Esther Kellar of Sharon, PA, Peggy Young of Orangeville, PA, and Connie Smith of Sharon ,PA, as well as 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and an Infant sister.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 4:00pm til 6:00 pm at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Edward Daily officiating.
