Robert L. Hougelman, of Masury, OH passed away unexpectedly at home on March 13, 2017 at 10:19 p.m. He was 68.
Robert was born in Sharon, PA on October 21, 1948, the son of the late Robert Hougelman and Lillian (McMann) Hougelman who survives him in Greenville, PA. Growing up, he attended Sharpsville Schools.
He honored his country by serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He had worked as Head Operator in the Cold Mill at Duferco Farrell Corp. (formerly Sharon Steel) in Farrell, for over 35 years.
Robert was a member of the National Riffle Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed camping.
He was the husband of Josephine (Massaro) Hougelman, whom he married on Dec. 8, 1975. She survives him at home in Masury. Besides his wife Josephine and his mother Lillian, he is survived by his daughter, Barbara Cutright of Waxhaw, NC, his three sons, Robert A. Hougelman of California, David B. Hougelman and his wife, Lee Ann, of Hermitage, PA and Gary J. Hougelman and his wife Meredith, of Masury, OH, along with his nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father , his brother, Gary Hougelman, and his sister, Trudy Smith.

Funeral service at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20th, with Rev. Henry C. Andrae officiating. Interment at America's Cemetery Hermitage, PA with Military Honors provided by the Farrell, Wheatland, West Middlesex Honor Guard.
