Reva Maxine Rogers

Reva Maxine Rogers, of 3726 East State St., Hermitage formerly of Reno Rd. in Hermitage, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at 3:55 a.m. , in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, after an extended illness. She was 77.
Reva was born in Sandy Lake, PA on November 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Ernest and Katherine (Klingensmith) Stright. She was a graduate of Mercer High School and the former Shenango Valley Commercial Institute in Sharon
She had been an active member of Charleston United Methodist Church Hermitage, PA., Reva was one of the founding members of the church , having helped build the church. She was a member of the United Methodist Womens Group. Reva had been employed as an office worker at the former National Life Insurance Co., Sharon, PA., in her younger years..
She was the widow of Paul J. Rogers. whom she married on May 27, 1967. He died on Nov. 5, 2011.
She is survived by her son, Brian P. Rogers, and his wife , Cari, of Clark, PA, her two grandaughters, Elysse and Karina Rogers, and two grandsons, Conner and Caleb Rogers along with her cousin, Pauline Jamison, of Franklin, PA. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Calvin Stright.

Friends are invited to call Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, from 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m., at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St, Sharon, PA 16146
Funeral service for Reva along with a Memorial Service for her husband, Paul, will be held at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st, with Rev. William J. Locke of Charleston United Methodist Church officiating. Military Honors for Paul will be presented by the Hickory VFW Honor Guard, Post 6166 of Hermitage.
Interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Jefferson twp., PA.
