Pauline Ann Hanscom

Pauline Ann Hanscom, 62, passed away comfortably at 5:37 p.m. on April 16, 2016 at UPMC Horizon Hospital, in Farrell, PA due to complications from surgical procedures.

Nothing gave her more joy than spending quality time with her son and son-in-law. She also greatly enjoyed going to bingo with her best friend and "sister", Lora Flick. Crocheting, playing online games, television, and "visiting the guys at McDonalds" for coffee were among the things she did in her spare time. She was also very generous with her time, volunteering for charities such as the ACS Relay For Life, and always made sure that friends and neighbors were taken care of in times of need.
She leaves her son, Tristan Hanscom-Flick and his husband, David, of Niles, OH, a son, Daniel Hanscom, of Metter, GA, a sister, Christina Gill, Warren, OH, a sister, Cheryl Comer, Struthers, OH, a sister, Judith Volchko, Butler, PA, and a brother, Ted Chechak Jr., of Conneautville, PA. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Trina Hanscom and Daniel Hanscom Jr. as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Josephine (Whyles) McKissick, and a brother, Jon Conway Jr. and a daughter, Erica L. Ross.
A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, April 23, from 4:00 p.m. 5:00p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146. A reception will be held immediately following at the Niles First United Methodist Church Hall, 608 N. Crandon Ave., Niles, OH 44446
