Paul Voytik, age 87, of 3760 Mt. Hickory Blvd. Hermitage, PA passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2012, at 1:20 p.m. in UPMC Horizon Hospital in Farrell ,PA. after a brief illness.
Mr. Voytik was born in Sharon, PA on July 1, 1924, the son of the late Andrew and Katherine (Saidok) Voytik. He was a graduate of Sharon High School and the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He served his country as a 2nd Leutenant in the US Army during World War II.
He had worked as a manager of the Materials & Manufacturing Dept. at former Westinghouse Electric Sharon, PA retiring in 1985. He published many technical papers and was a prolific inventor. After retirement, he was involved with The Seven Fields Real Estate DevelopmentCompany in Cranberry twp., PA and eventually became Chairman of the Board and President.
Paul was an avid golfer was a lifetime member of the Greenville Country Club playing in many tournaments. He truly enjoyed growing plants in his garden at his home. Paul was a member of the Sharon American Legion, Post 299. and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Sharon.
He was the widower of Ann (Vanko) Voytik. whom he married on October 21, 1950. She died February 1, 2004. He is survived by his grandaughter, Jessica Ann Voytik and his grandson, David Alexander "Alex" Voytik both of Sanford, NC. along with his brother, Andrew Voytik and his wife, Helen of Hershey, PA. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews also survive. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceeded in death by his son, David Paul Voytik who died in 1996 along with two sister, Mary Moss and Anna Voytik and two brothers, Joseph and John Voytik.

Funeral service at Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon, PA. at Noon on Monday, April 9th, with Rev. Ronald Hartman officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
