Patricia Ruth "Patty " Miller

Patricia Ruth "Patty" Miller, age 65, of 810 Sherman Ave, Sharon, PA died peacefully Saturday July 16, 2011 at 5:15 p.m. in her residence after an extended illness. Patty was born in Sharon, PA on January 11, 1946, the daughter of the late George and Pauline Alice Perschka Farkas. She was a 1963 graduate of West Middlesex , PA High School and attended the IBM School in Pittsburgh for one year. She married Kenneth E. Miller Jr. on October 3, 1964. He survives her at home. She had worked as a sales associate at J.C. Penney Store in Hermitage for 26 years. Patty loved to do cross stich and spend time with her family. She was of the Presbyterian faith, Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kenneth E. Miller III of Sharon,Pa and Dwayne W. Miller and his wife, Susan, of Pittsburgh, PA and five grandchildren, Jordan, Nicole, Michael, Madison, and Mason. Also surviving are 3 sisters, Mary Alice Bowser, of Shenango twp., PA , Marlene Ann Flickinger of Liberty twp., OH and Renee Lynn Cornell of Masury,OH and 2 brothers, Edward G. Farkas and his wife Paulette, of Farrell, PA and Joseph P. Farkas and his wife Elaine, also of Farrell, PA. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Donations may be made in her memory to S.R.H.S. Cancer Care Angel Fund, 2320 Highland Road, Hermitage, PA 16148. Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00p.m. Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Cremation service provided by the funeral home.
