-- Nicolette Marilyn Crist, 42, originally from Sharon, passed away on March 5, 2024, at her home in New Orleans, LA. Nikki's unexpected passing came after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Nikki was born on December 9, 1981, in Lafayette, LA, to Marilyn (Kendzor) McKelvey, of Sharon, PA, and Wilmer Glenn Crist, of Franklin, LA. She grew up in Sharon, an academically gifted student.
Nikki attended Penn State University, focusing on information technology. She later found her niche in sales, customer service, tech support, and bartending roles, where her natural gift for conversation and problem-solving shone.
Nikki lived her life to the fullest, the life of any party. She excelled in pub trivia and fearlessly showcased her beautiful singing voice during karaoke nights.
Nikki is survived by her mother, Marilyn (Kendzor) McKelvey, and Marilyn's partner, Dennis Bliss, who together served as caregivers during Nikki's final years. Nikki is also survived by her father Wilmer Glenn Crist; brother Leonard Crist; niece Rosemary Lynn Crist; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Doris and Leonard Kendzor, of Sharon; paternal grandparents, Joselyn and Wilmer Crist, of Franklin, LA; cousin James Wolfgang Kendzor; her step-father James McKelvey, and three beloved aunts, Dorothy (Kendzor) Soria, Elaine Kendzor, and Susan (Reilly) Kendzor.
A gathering time will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at The Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E.
