Nancy Dianne Faverty, age 88, of Hermitage, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at her residence, with her loving family by her side.
Born August 4, 1935 in Sharon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gordon H. Miller and Thelma (Cline) Miller Jack.
She married Harold N. Faverty on January 6, 1956 and he survives at home.
Nancy was a 1953 Graduate of Hickory High School. She was a homemaker and raised her children as a military wife, moving all around the world.
Nancy liked to entertain guests, going out with friends, shopping and reading. She was a member of the Airforce Wive's Club, the Hermitage Women's Club, the Red Hat Society and a former member of both Sharpsville First Baptist Church and Covenant Presbyterian church. The last church she attended was Gentle Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Hermitage, Pa.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Faverty, of Hermitage, PA, and Paula Babish (Gary), of Green Valley, AZ, and two grandchildren, Justin Babish, of Seattle, WA, and Kelly Morris (Brad), of Crownpoint, NM.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Faverty, a brother Paul Miller and a sister, Evelyn Shephard.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Gentle Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 3480 Shenango Valley Fwy, Hermitage, PA, 16148. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the church with the Rev. Brian Burke officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital at stjude.org/givehope.
Arrangements are being handled by the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, Pa. 16146. On-line condolences may be offered by visiting stevensonfuneralhome.net.
