Nancy Lee Davis Emmett, of Port St. Lucie Fl., formerly of Sharon, passed away on 01/29/2013, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Greenville, Pa. She was 73
Nancy was born in Sharon on March 31, 1939 the daughter of the late James S. and Martha Bell Davis. She was a 50 year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sharon. Nancy attended Lafayette Elementary School and was a proud member of the Sharon High Class of 1957, attended Youngstown State University and was a member of the Alpha Iota Sorority. She retired as a secretary for the Buhl Trustees.
Nancy was married to Donald E. Emmett, of Greenville, and together they enjoyed a good life of hard work, fun and travel. Don passed away in 2003.
As a resident of Spanish Lakes Golf Village in Port St. Lucie, Nancy was active in everything from driving a police car with COP in the community as well as playing cards and bocce. In Sharon, Nancy was a member of the Quota Club, served as chairperson of the high school reunion committee, attended every reunion until her illness prevented her from attending the 55th.
Each summer she returned to Farma Family Campground in Greenville to spend time with her Valley friends. Nancy had been plagued with medical issues the past several years but never let them get her down. With her car, cane, walker and motor scooter she left no stone unturned. She will be remembered as the "feisty lady on the scooter' or "Ms Hell on Wheels".
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brothers, Ronald and J. Reed Davis. She is survived by her sister in law Joyce P. Davis, her nephews Jon Ryan Davis and his wife Nicole and their daughter Jordan Alica, and Jeffery Ronald Davis, all of West Palm Beach, FL. She is also survived by her sister in law Dolores Emmett of Greenville, PA, who was with her until the end. She is also survived by her cousins Susie Ray of West Palm Beach, Fl. And Joanie Bell of Washington, D.C. Also, mourning the loss of Nancy are her special friends Carol Hill, Gail and Stuart Keyes of Port St. Lucie and her Sharon friends, Beth and John Krivak, along with the Sharon High School class of 1957 and especially classmates, Sue and Bob Curtis, Jan Kennedy and Kathy and Fred Hunt.
"Never pass a chance to say I love you to the people you care about because we aren't promised tomorrow".

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State Street, Sharon, PA 16146 , with Rev. Dr. Glen Hink of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Sharon officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage, PA Cremation and funeral arrangements by the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA
