Michael R. Zahorchak

Michael R. Zahorchak, "Minky", age 82 of Edinboro, PA, formerly of Cranberry Twp. PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2025, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, with his loving family by his side.

Mike was born September 13, 1942, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Michael and Ruth (Kretzler) Zahorchak. He married the former Kathleen O'Brien on April, 24, 1965 and she preceded him in death on February 10, 2022.

Mike graduated from Quaker Valley High School and went on to Edinboro State College, where he earned a Bachelors in Education. He spent his entire teaching career as an art teacher for the Ambridge Area School District.

Mike was an avid record collector, he also liked to occasionally go fishing and do art projects.

He leaves behind two sons, Quinn Zahorchak (Mary Beth) and Brien Zahorchak (Dawn) both of Cranberry Twp. PA, a brother Thomas Zahorchak (Claudia) of Ft. Meyers, FL, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Mike's life will be announced at a later date.
