Mary Ann (Kapusta) Krajci passed away peacefully Saturday evening, January 23, 2021 at Sharon Regional Health System. She was 93.
Mary Ann was born July 24, 1927, in Sharon, a daughter of John and Mary (Mihalko) Kapusta. She received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God on August 1, 1927. She was confirmed on April 2, 1939. She married her beloved spouse, John Daniel Krajci on October 25, 1947. She was a life-long member of Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, Sharon, having served on the Altar Guild, Pre-school Board, Sunday School and VBS staff. She also enjoyed singing in the Choir.
She graduated as valedictorian from Sharon High School in 1945. After graduating from Slippery Rock State College, she was employed for 32 years by the West Middlesex School District, where she enjoyed teaching fourth grade and special education.
She loved traveling throughout the United States with her husband and family; vacations at the beach became her favorite. She was an avid reader and loved watching tennis. Other hobbies included playing the piano, bowling and watching Hallmark movies and mystery shows. She loved supporting her grandchildren by attending all of their special events. The Lord was most important to her, as well as her family. We will always remember her saying "Angel Wings" for protection.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Sovesky and her husband, Jerry, Farrell; Christine Nelson and her husband, Barry, Transfer; a son, Mark D. Krajci and his wife, Darla, Sharpsville; along with her grandchildren, Jerry (Amanda) Sovesky and Robert (Karla) Sovesky; Bill Nelson and Brittany (Ian) Forbis; Jenna (George) Ross and Derick (Megan) Krajci; and her great-grandchildren, Delaney, Madison and Noah Sovesky; Toren and Colten Ross; Atticus, Rhett, and Avianna Sovesky. She is also survived by a sister, Mildred Zachar, and her husband, Ed, Niles, OH, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Fitzgerald and her husband, Ken, Pinehurst, NC.
Besides her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John; a son, John G. Krajci; and her granddaughter, Olivia Sovesky.
A private funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday (01-28-2021) in Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. Jacob Deal, Pastor, officiating. Internment in America's Cemetery.
