Mrs. Mary "Mrs. K" Kulusich, 79, of 195 Donald Road Hermitage, PA. died unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon (9/10/11) at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, from complications of a stroke.
Mrs. Kulusich was born in Masury, Ohio on January 30, 1932, the daughter of the late John and Katherine "Katy" (Wasylko) Distransky. She was a 1950 graduate of Brookfield(OH) HighSchool, and Youngstown State University with Businees Degree in Education., and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Education from Penn State University , continuing her education at various universities.
On August 11, 1956, she married the love of her life, Matthew Kulusich., He survives at home. She was a member of St. John's Orthodox Church in Sharon.
"Mrs K." was a business education teacher at the Hermitage School District for 30 years. After retirement she had worked as a substitute teacher for the Brookfield, OH School District for several years. In her younger years, she had worked as a bookeeper for the former Cohen Store in Sharon.
She was a life member of N.E.A. & was a member of P.S.E.A., & College Womens Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, traveling to various countries,and keeping up with current world events. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who especially loved attending her two grandaughters' activities. She will be greatly missed by them. She had a great passion for not only her family but for her love of teaching , touching lives and inspiring many students over the span of her career.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Ralph Kulusich and his wife, Debbie, of Warren, OH. along with her beloved grandaughters, Kaitlin and Brooke Kulusich. and her brother, Michael Distransky and his wife, Dorothy, of Wycliffe, OH. Also survivng are several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents , she was preceeded in death by her brother, Nick Distransky.
Donations in her memory may be made to the St. John's Orthodox Church Building Fund, 745 Cedar Ave., Sharon, PA 16146 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. with the Panachida service at 6:45p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State Street, Sharon, PA 16146.

Funeral service at St. John's Orthodox Church, Sharon, PA , at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, September 14th, 2011, with Father David Mastroberte of the church ,officiating. Funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:40a.m.
Interment will be at Brookfield twp. Cemetery on Rt. 7, Brookfield, Ohio
