Mary F. Bentley

Mary F. Brooks Bentley, age 84, of Sharon Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 in Hermitage Pa., at her daughter"s home. Born October 26, 1933 in Sharon ,Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Haun Brooks. She married Donald E. Bentley on June 10th 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 8, 1994.
Mary worked throughout her lifetime as a caregiver for Sharon Hospital and also as a hostess For Isalys. She was a member of Oasis church in Hermitage and enjoyed going to Salvation Army Seniors, listening to gospel music and taking care of her house plants.
Mary is survived by one daughter  Cindy Lou Clarke of Hermitage, two sons Terry Apthorpe of Niles, Ohio and Donald G. Bentley of Polk, Pa., two sisters Shirley Giering of Cortland, Ohio and Patricia Fonce of Geneva, Ohio, 5 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Emprich, an infant son Paul Bentley, two sisters Bonnie Mae Apthorpe and Mable Weimer and an infant brother and sister.
Visitation will be held on Sunday,June 10th, 2018 from 2:00 pm til 4:00 pm at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC. 264 E. State Street, Sharon, Pa.. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm with the Rev. James Fleck officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
