Marvin Harold Lippincott

Marvin Harold Lippincott, of Sharpsville, PA, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 1:50 a.m., in the VA Medical Center in Butler, PA, after an extended illness. He was 75.
Marvin was born in Riegelsville, NJ on December 6, 1940, the son of the late Harold and Alma (Deemer) Lippincott. He was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School.
Marvin served his country by being in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and then continued by serving in the U.S. Navy . He had worked as a Navy Chaplain for over 14 years before retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Independent Fundamental Churches of America
Marvin enjoyed remodeling houses and all kinds of sports. He recently was inducted in his high school's Football Hall of Fame.
He was the husband of Jane (Leggatt) Lippincott, whom he married on March 7, 1970. She survives him at home in Sharpsville. Also surviving are his four daughters, Lisa Campion and her husband Andrew, Jenny Aspacher and her husband, York, Amy Swan and her husband Kyle, and Sarah Donnelly and her husband, Chris, and 16 grandchildren, along with his sisters, Kathleen VanDoren, and Carol Rodenbaugh, and his brother, Mike Lippincott and his wife Maryjean. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pat Berger.

Interment at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery Riegelsville, PA.
Locally, a Memorial Service will be held on Sat., July 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Lakeside Evangelical Congregational Church, in Transfer.
