Marilyn A. Parola, of 500 Clarksville Rd., Hermitage, PA, formerly of Rutledge Rd., Transfer, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 7:25 a.m. , in Nugent Nugent's CCRC, in Hermitage, after an extended illness. She was 85.
Marilyn was born in Louisville, OH on January 3, 1930, the daughter of the late Arthur and Irene (Zwick) Monter. She was a member of St. Michael's Church, Greenville, PA.
Marilyn was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling, camping, bowling, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the former Mother of Twins club.
She was the wife of Leo D. Parola Jr., whom she married on October 11, 1952. He died on March 26, 2011. Her survivors include her daughters, Patricia Parola of Canton, OH, Marie Johnson of Hermitage, PA, twins Carol Parola , of Hermitage, and Cheryl Parola, of Farrell, PA, her sons, Leo D. Parolla III and his wife Diane, of Greenville, PA, Paul Parola and his wife, Kathy, of Ft. Myers, FL, and Edward Parola, and his wife, Laura, of Transfer, PA along with 15 grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Elodie Bryan, of Louisville, OH., Linda Rittberger and her husband, William, of Florida and her brothers, George Monter, and his wife, Shirley, of Boston, MA, and William Monter, and his wife, Beverly, of Alliance, OH. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lyda Dagress.
