Marie Kathryn "Kathy" Woods

Marie Kathryn "Kathy" Woods, of 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, formerly of George St. Ext, Hermitage, PA passed away of natural causes at 10:55p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at John XXIII Home in Hermitage. She was 82.
Kathy was born in Sharon, PA on June 24, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn (Yarbenetz) Gianoglio. She had worked as a waitress at the former New Villa Restaurant in Farrell, PA. She had also worked at the Coney Island and the former Dinner Bell, both in Sharon.
Kathy was a collector of dolls and nick knacks and loved her dogs. She enjoyed doing crafts and watching soap operas. She was of the Catholic faith.
She was the widow of Robert Woods. who died in 1996. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Williams of Sharon, PA and Patricia Elifritz and her husband, Phil, of New Philadelphia, OH and two sons,: Joseph L. Williams and his wife, Bonnie Jean, of Spring Valley, CA, and Gary Swaim, and his wife, Karen, of Sevierville, TN, along with her brother, Kenneth Gianoglio and his wife, Faith, of Sharpsville, PA. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ed, Bill, and Charles, and her great-granddaughter.

Visitation will take place on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, from 11:00a.m. -1:00p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 1:00p.m. on Monday, December 9th, with Monsignor Salvatore Mitchell officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage, Pa.
