Marian R. Pleso, John XXII Home, Hermitage, PA, formerly of Mertz Towers, Sharpsville, PA passed away peacefully at 12:55 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at John XXIII Home after an extended illness. She was 95.
Marian was born in Sharon, PA on December 23, 1918, the daughter of the late John and Eva (Porter) Racketa. She was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Sharpsville, where she had been active in the Women's Association. She had worked as an accounting clerk at the former Westinghouse plant in Sharon, PA., for 18 years.
Marian had been a member of the AARP, Hermitage Chapter and the Shenango Retirees Group. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, music, and spending time with her family.
She was the widow of Mike Pleso. whom she married on Feb. 22, 1969. He died Feb. 1, 1999. Her first husband, Russell W. Neely, and her second husband, Coyden Mitchell are deceased.
She is survived by her son, Russell L. Neely and his wife, Trudy of Abilene, KS,, her step-daughter, Joyce Beckwith and her husband, John, of Rochester, NY, her step-son Michael Pleso and his wife, Kathy, of Charlotte, NC. and a step-son -in- law, Anthony Kane , Rochester, NY. along with 8 grandchildren, Jill Durbin, Melinda "Mindy" Fogg, Susan Parker, Maria Hinson, Jeffrey Pleso, Lisa Beckwith, Matthew Beckwith, and Lauren Beckwith, and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, William A. Neely, her step-daughter, Phyllis Kane, a sister, Laura Racketa, and a brother, Edward Racketa.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00a.m. on Friday, November 21st, with Rev. Michael Carlin, Pastor of 1st Presbyterian Church ,Sharpsville officiating.
