Margie A. Rishel, age 78, of Greenville, PA, formerly of Sharon, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in St. Paul's Senior Living Center, Greenville, PA.

Born May 14, 1947, in Sharon, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Mislai) Tarcy.

A 1965 graduate of Sharon High School, Margie went on to Edinboro University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education and earned her Master of Education from Youngstown State University.

Margie spent most of her employment career as a grade school teacher for Reynolds School District for over 30 years.

In her spare time, she liked to paint, travel, go boating and snow skiing. She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Church and attended St. Anthony's Church. She was also a member of the PSEA Teacher's Union, the Toll Painting Club and a sewing club. In college she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.

She is survived by a daughter Monica A. Rishel, of Greenville, PA, two sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Walters, of Washington State and Betty Tarcy, of Sharon, PA, a nephew, Adam Milliren, of Sharon, PA, and his children, Logan, Leah and Emilia. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 9:00 AM till 10:30 AM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM for a funeral mass in St. Anthony's Church at 11:00 AM with Fr. James Power officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America,322 8th Avenue, 16th floor, New York, NY, 10001.
