Margaret J. "Peggy" Alford, of Hermitage, PA, passed away on Sun. Dec. 17, 2017 at Countryside Convalescent Home in Mercer, after an extended illness. She was 66.
Peggy was born in Sharon, PA on May 11, 1951, the daughter of the late George Eberly and Denise E. (Jewell) Mahood. She was a graduate of Hickory High School and of Edinboro University.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Sharon,.
Peggy had worked as a science and computer teacher at the former St. Joseph's School in Sharon, for many years.
She was very dedicated to her students at school, her church, and to her family. Peggy will be sadly missed by all of them.
Her family includes her two daughters, Mildred Alford of Sharon, PA and Roberta Marie Pranulis & her husband Charles Pranulis II, of Hermitage, PA, along with her two grandchildren, Alexis Weber and Oliver Noah Pranulis. Also surviving is her brother, David Mahood of Round Rock, TX. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Berry and a brother, Richard Mahood.

A Gathering Time will be held on Thurs., Dec 21, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
