Madeline M. Callahan, of Sharon. passed away peacefully on Wed., Nov. 22, 2017, at Juniper Village, Sharon, after an extended illness. She was 99.
Madeline was born in New Mine, PA on October 9, 1918, the daughter of the late Domenico and Marietta E. (Buccicone) DiNardo. She graduated from Sharon High School in 1937.
She was a 50 plus year member of Covenant Presbyterian Church Sharon, where she was a charter member of the Couplers Sunday School class and had attended the Senior Fellowship group.
Madeline had worked as a clerk at the former Valley View Dept. Store, Brookfield, OH., for 10 years, retiring in 1979. Previously, she had worked at the former Sharon Store for 20 years.
Madeline enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her husband and friends.
She was the widow of William G. Callahan, whom she married on Aug. 28, 1940. He died on Nov. 8, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Callahan Misko and her husband Thomas, of Hermitage, PA and her son, Wm. Donald Callahan of Xalapa, VeraCruz, Mexico, and her grandchildren, Parker, Ella, and Nolan Misko. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Veronica Clary and her brothers, Amedeo "DiDi" DiNardo, Theodore, Raymond, and Romolo DiNardo.

Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28th, with Rev. Adam T. Trambley officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
