Lucy Ann Porter,of Sharon, PA, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at 3:43p.m. after an extended illness. She was 87.
Lucy was born in Sharpsville, PA on December 13, 1926, the daughter of the late Gregorio and Philomena (Ricci) Ranelli..
She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, doing jigsaw puzzles, bowling, going on bus trips to casinos, and spending time with her family. She was of the Catholic faith.
Lucy was the widow of Claire William Porter, whom she married on May 17, 1947. He passed away on Nov. 24, 2008. She is survived by her six children, Richard Porter and his wife Fran, of Sharon, PA, Marilyn Amon of Hermitage, PA, Linda Miklos and her husband, Ron, of Sharpsville, PA, and Luann Thull and her husband, Greg, of Winneconne, WI, George Porter and his wife, Lisa, of Sharon, PA, and Raymond Porter and his wife, Kay, of Maricopa, AZ. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Scott Porter, Nicole Anglum, Mandy Richards, Pamela Fredericks, Rhonda Rickert, Jeremy, Clint, and Kristine Thull, Ryan Porter, Denise Rehorst, Shawn and Sabrina Porter, and 14 great-grandchildren along with a sister, Mary Barber of Farrell, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Yolanda DelMonaco, Frances Viselli, and Annie Costik and 3 brothers, Rocco, Joseph, and Domenick Ranelli.

Friends are invited to call Saturday, Feb. 1st, 2014 from 10:00a.m. till noon at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State Street, Sharon, PA 16146..
Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at noon on Saturday, February 1st, with Rev. Terry Mann of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
