Lita Joan Habuda, a resident of The Ridgewood at Shenango Valley, Hermitage, formerly of Koehler Drive, Sharpsville, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Saturday (2-2-13) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System with her family at her side. She was 85.
She was born July 22, 1927, in Youngstown, a daughter of Sylvester and Rose (Perna) DiGiacomo.
She was a graduate of Rayen High School, Youngstown.
She married Francis J. Habuda on Nov. 8, 1952. He is deceased.
She was a member of Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
She worked at First National Bank (Hermitage Data Center) as a file clerk for nine years and was a former employee at Sharon Steel for 22 years.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed gardening, golfing, bowling and spending time with her family. She also was a past president of Sharpsville Woman's Club.
She survived by her sons, Francis J. Jr. and his wife Laura, Hermitage; David P. and his wife Lou Ann, Tulsa, Okla.; and James A. and his wife Diana, of Winter Springs, Fla.; his grandchildren, Francis J. Habuda III, Matthew and his wife Sarah Habuda, Christopher and his wife Rachel Habuda, George Swegan and Michael Habuda; and a great-grandson, Levi Habuda.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann DiPillo; and her brother, Anthony DiGiacomo.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
