Linda Rae Morrison-Dufford (Douds) of Sharpsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26th, 2025 at Quality Life Services: New Castle, after a long cancer battle. She was 73. Linda's life was filled with a love of sewing, cooking, lilac flowers, coral nail polish, Little House on the Prairie, thrifting, dancing on the "harvest moon," and above all else, her family. Crafting dolls, clothing, and restoring upholstery were among her most favored challenges, but her nimble hands could mend any rip or tear in a matter of seconds. In the kitchen, she remedied stuffy noses and broken hearts with fresh strawberry pies, chocolate pudding cakes, and convivial conversation. Secure in her faith, any ounce of her remaining love was given to Jesus. His gospel lifted her in times of sorrow, and she found peace in prayer. Survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Kathie (Donnie) Lohr; son, Zach (Frankie) Morrison; grandchildren, Delaney Mathew, Peyton Lohr (Logan), Chet Lohr (Kenzie), Sydney Lohr, and Kya Morrison; sisters, Lorraine (Ron) Phillips, Brenda (Dale) Armstrong; and brother, Craig (Andrea) Douds, her life-long friend and former spouse, Ron Morrison, and extended family residing mostly in Western Pennsylvania, she leaves behind a legacy of love. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Norene (Heath) Douds; son, Jason Morrison; daughter and son-in-law Leslie (Morrison) and Mark Mathew; and very dear, aunt Norma (Heath) Saul and will be missed just as much as they are.
A memorial service will be held in her memory on Sunday at 1:00 PM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A gathering time will be held from 12:00 PM till the time of service. On-line condolences may be offered by visiting stevensonfuneralhome.net.
In this time of grief, the family offers one of her most treasured bible verses as a reminder of the power of prayer: "So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you." Luke 11:9
