Kathryn Ann Jones

Kathryn Ann Jones, Mercer, PA, formerly of Hermitage, PA, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 2:40 p.m. , in Sharon Regional Health System. She was 84.
Kathryn was born in Sharon, PA on March 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Russell E. and Kathryn (Pollett) Hogue. She was a 1950 graduate of Sharon High School.
She had worked at Jolley Industrial Supplies Sharon, PA. Previously, she had worked at the former Mitch's Coin Laundry in Hermitage and the former G.C. Murphy store in Sharon.
Kathryn loved spending time with her only granddaughter, Mindy, doing puzzles, playing games, cards, and checkers. She enjoyed listening to country music, especially Hank Williams Sr. She was a member of East Side Church Sharon, PA.
She was the widow of James Irvine Jones. whom she married on Feb. 27, 1951. He died Sept. 27, 1979. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Lynn Galloway and her husband, Thomas, and her only granddaughter, Melinda "Mindy" Galloway, all of Sharon, PA and her sister, Carol Sue Yount of Masury, OH. Two nieces and four nephews also survive. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell E. "Bud" Hogue, and a brother-in-law, Fred M. Jones, and a sister-in-law, Theresa "Terry" Hogue.

At her request there will be no calling hours. Private graveside interment services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon. Cremation services provided by the Harold W.
