Julius Bellucci, age 90, of Hermitage, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Sharon Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
Jules was born November 12, 1930 in Farrell, PA, the son of the late Alfonso and Angeline (Caputo) Bellucci.
Jules was a graduate of Farrell High School. After high school, he served in the United States Army for 2 years during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Japan at Camp Yokohama with the 56 th Amphibious Tank and Tractor Battalion. He returned home and married the love of his life, Josephine Zalac, on July 24, 1954. He went on to attend Youngstown State University, where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. He also earned a Master's degree in Science from Westminster College.
Jules was a teacher in the Sharon School District for many years. He taught fifth and sixth grade at Musser and Gamble Schools.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, playing cards, traveling and gardening; but, most of all, he enjoyed going to Panera Bread each morning to meet with friends to discuss the world's problems and talk politics.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Sharon, PA.
Jules is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Josephine Bellucci; his daughter, Lisa Lynn (Kenneth) Monington, of Aurora, CO; his son, Brian K. Bellucci, of Hermitage, PA; his brother, Albert (Rose) Bellucci, of Hermitage, PA; and seven grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Michelle, Marc, and Matthew (Bellucci) and Luke, Julie, Paige and Piper (Monington).
There will be a gathering time on Saturday, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA. A procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 PM for St. Anthony of Padua Church, where a memorial mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, with Fr. Matthew Ruyuchan officiating. Burial will take place in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
