Joseph James Gatty, of Farrell, PA, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016, at 8:50 p.m. in Sharon Regional Health System, after an extended illness. He was 86 .
Joe was born in Farrell, PA on April 2, 1930, the son of the late James and Agnes C. (Fragle) Gatty.
He was a 1948 graduate of Farrell High School and served his country by serving in the U.S. Army from 1952 - 1953. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Catholic Church Farrell, PA. He had worked as a utilty man at Mercer Tube(Sawhill) now AK Steel, for 40 years.
Joe enjoyed gardening, going to horse races, especially visiting Saratoga Race Track, watching sports, and having coffee with "The Boys".
He is survived by his sister, Theresa Gatty, of Farrell, PA along with his aunts, cousins, and special friends.

At his request there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at at Our Lady of Fatima-St.Ann's Catholic Church, Farrell, PA, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 24th, 2016, with Rev. Donald Berdis officiating. Interment at St. Anthonys-St.Ann's Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
