Johnny Ray Mullins Sr., 67, of 1568 Lakeview Road, (S. Shenango twp.) Jamestown, PA , passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 3:53 p.m. at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA after a brief illness.
Mr. Mullins Sr. was born in Perry County, KY on June 19, 1944, the son of the late Hillard and Louise (Deaton) Mullins.He served in the U.S. Army as a Pvt in the Vietnam War.
Johnny had most recently worked as deliveryman for the former Macedonian Bakery in Farrell, PA. Previously, he had worked as a security guard at the former Peter J. Schmidt Warehouse in Austintown, OH and also worked at the former National Castings Malleable Works, in Sharon,PA.
He was a lifetime member of the American Veterans Association, Chapter 55, of Hermitage, PA. He enjoyed repairing lawn mowers and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Clark United Methodist Church.
He is survived at home by his wife, the former Jean Ann Perrine whom he married on Sept. 12, 1978. Other family include his three sons, Dan Mullins and his girlfriend, Alison McCarthy,of Hazelgreen, AL., Mark Mullins and his wife, Christine, of New Castle, PA., Tony Mullins, and his wife, Trish,a of Plant City, FL.,and a step-daughter, Julie Bruetsch and her husband, John, of Summerdale, PA. and a step-son, Ed Korab of Greenville, PA. along with his sisters, Emma Mathews and her husband, Jeff, of Seven Springs, NC.,and Talma Free of New Market, TN, and his brother, James "JD" Mullins and his wife, Lil, of Hazard, KY. Several grandchildren also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by a son, Johnny R. Mullins Jr. and three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, Sharon, PA. at 1:00p.m. on Wednesday, April 4th, with Rev. Ken Duffee,pastor of Clark United Methodist Church, officiating. Military honors at the funeral home provided by the Hickory VFW Post 6166 Honor Guard. Cremation services provided by the funeral home.
