John D. "Jk" Krajci

John D. "JK" Krajci, of 24 Williams Dr., West Middlesex, PA , passed away on Wed., Jan. 23, 2013, at 11:28 p.m. at Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. He was 86.
John was born in Sharon, PA on Sept. 27, 1926, the son of the late John and Helen (Remetta) Kracji. He was a 1945 graduate of Sharon High School and then went on to serve in the U.S. Army Airforce during WWII.
He was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon where he had served as Past President of the congregation. He had worked as a coil winder at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric for 38 years.
JK was an avid bowler having to belonged to several are leagues over the years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling, watching John Wayne movies, and attending his grandchildrens' sporting events.
His wife, Mary Ann (Kapusta) Kracji, whom he married on Oct. 25, 1947, survives at home. Also survivng are his two daughters, Karen Sovesky and her husband, Jerry, of Sharon, PA and Christine Nelson and her husband, Barry, of Transfer, PA and a son, Mark Kracji, and his wife, Darla, of Sharpsville, PA along with his grandchildren, Jerry Sovesky, Robert Sovesky and his wife Karla, Bill and Brittany Nelson, Jenna Ross and her husband, George, and Derick Kracji, and John's great-grandchildren, Delaney Sovesky, Toren and Colten Ross. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Fitzgerald and her husband, Kenneth, of Pinehurst, NC, and a sister-in-law, Edna Kracji, of Hubbard, OH. along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by his son, John Kracji, his grandaughter, Olivia Sovesky, a sister, Irene Zachar, a brother, Paul Kracji, and three infant siblings.
Donations in his memory may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 699 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.
Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Funeral service on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon, with Rev. Jeffry Harter officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage, PA.
