John James Bozicevic, Wheatland, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at 4:20 p.m., in the Butler V.A. Hospital, Butler, PA, after an extended illness. He was 89.
John was born in Youngstown, Ohio on January 25, 1926, the son of the late Matt and Zora (Glad) Bozicevic. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II.
He had worked as a maintenance person at former Sharon Steel for over 30 years. After his retirement, he had worked as a courier for 20 years for 1st National Bank. John liked to ride his motorcycle, do yard work, and repair lawn mowers. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was the husband of Phyllis "Louise" (Scott) Bozicevic. whom he married on Jan. 21, 1968. She survives at home. he is also survived by two daughters, Renata Thomas and her husband, Ken, of Bakersfield, CA, and Judi Schlegel of West Middlesex, PA. along with six grandchildren, Page and Dustin Thomas, Jodi Schrawder, Jennifer Mulkerin, William Schlegel III, and Kayla Schlegel along with six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Anne Vianello of Youngstown, OH. Besides his parents, he was preceded and death by two sisters.
Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
At the family's request there will be no visitation.
